MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — The Monmouth County Clerk’s Office is accepting submissions for their annual High School Elections and Voting Video Contest through Oct. 30.

Designed to encourage youth to engage with the election process and learn the importance of voting rights, the contest asks Monmouth County high school students to create a 1-3 minute video reflecting on what having the right to vote means to them and why it’s important with a focus on educating their peers on three ways to cast their ballot in New Jersey.

“Our annual video contest for high school students has been a wonderful opportunity to engage young people in the voting process, which is the cornerstone of our democracy,” Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon said. “It is also an important reminder that their voices need to be heard, and that they can have an impact by casting their ballots.”
