Sensory-Friendly Santa Experience Set For Freehold Raceway Mall

The meet-and-greet event aims to offer people of all ages and abilities the chance to meet Santa in a calm, welcoming environment.

FREEHOLD, NJ — Freehold Raceway Mall is set to host a sensory-friendly Santa meet-and-greet event on Sunday.

From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., the mall will make special accommodations to support the sensory, physical, and developmental needs of people with autism or with disabilities and unique needs.

Scheduled outside regular shopping hours, the sensory-friendly Santa Claus event will feature dimmed lighting, softened music, reduced wait times and a quieter atmosphere to make the experience enjoyable for everyone.

"Santa is for everyone," event officials said. "Just because your little holiday enthusiast might not enjoy big crowds and bright lights doesn't mean they should miss out on sharing their special wish list."

"The sensory-friendly holiday event at Freehold Raceway Mall offers people of all ages and abilities the chance to visit Santa in a calm, welcoming environment," officials continued.

Sensory-friendly Santa meet-and-greets will be held in the lower level of the Zara Court at Freehold Raceway Mall.
