2 Homes Destroyed By South Jersey Fire: Police
Two homes were completely destroyed and two more damaged by the Monday afternoon fire, Hamilton police said.
HAMILTON TWP., NJ — Two homes were "completely destroyed" and two more damaged in a Monday afternoon fire, the Township of Hamilton Police Department said.
Police responded to the structure fire on Gasko Road in the Tavistock neighborhood at 1:10 p.m. on Sept. 1, according to a release. Heavy fire conditions were affecting multiple residences.
"This is a scenario that we have been practicing for a substantial amount of time, and the crew performed flawlessly," Cologne Vol. Fire Company said in a social media post.

No one was injured, police said.
The Cologne Vol. Fire Company, Mays Landing Vol. Fire Company, Laureldale Vol. Fire Company, Bargaintown Vol. Fire Company, Cardiff Vol. Fire and NJ Forest Fire responded to the scene and worked to bring the fire under control, police said. The Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad also responded to provide support and assistance.

The fire's cause remains under investigation.
