2 Indicted On Murder Charge In Fatal Atlantic City Shooting
An Atlantic County Grand Jury returned indictments against two men in connection to the May 19 fatal shooting of Jahmil Greenidge.
ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ — An Atlantic County Grand Jury returned indictments against two men in connection to the May 19 fatal shooting of Jahmil Greenidge in Atlantic City, authorities said.
Jahmil Greenidge, 28, was killed on May 19 in Atlantic City, according to Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill.
Denzel Garrison, 28, of Newark was indicted on first-degree murder, first-degree conspiracy, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.

Garrison was arrested by officers of the Newark Police Department on Oct. 12, 2021, following a cooperative investigation by the ACPO Major Crimes Unit, Atlantic City Police Department and with assistance from multiple law enforcement agencies.
Laquine Demby, 30, of Pleasantville was indicted on first-degree murder and first-degree conspiracy.

Demby was arrested in Pleasantville by detectives of the ACPO Major Crimes Unit and officers of the Pleasantville Police Department on Oct. 12, following a cooperative investigation by the ACPO Major Crimes Unit, Atlantic City Police Department and with assistance from multiple law enforcement agencies.
At 8 a.m. on May 19, Atlantic City police responded to a 911 call for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived at the 300 block of North Tennessee Avenue in Atlantic City they found Greenidge with a gunshot wound. Greenidge was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Atlantic City Police Department, Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office, United States Marshals Service, Federal Bureau of Investigations, Pleasantville Police Department, Egg Harbor Township Police Department, Newark Police Department and New Jersey State Police assisted the ACPO Major Crimes Unit with this investigation and the arrests of Garrison and Demby.
Demby and Garrison were being held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Chief Assistant Prosecutor Seth Levy handled the case.
