This Is Atlantic County's Greatest Restaurant: Report

ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ — What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the best restaurants in Atlantic County? Maybe it's somewhere in Atlantic City. A casino spot, perhaps? Well, NJ.com recently released a county-by-county breakdown of the greatest restaurants in New Jersey. And this is what they chose as the best in Atlantic County.

It's The Nizam's in Egg Harbor Township. Yes, this authentic Indian spot beats out all the fancy casino restaurants. The report's author calls it his "favorite Indian restaurant in the state." And with such a large Indian-American population here, that's quite the compliment.

The report cites the tangri kebab and the lamb ashari as some of the best dishes available there. But the best, the report said, is the pistachio-topped kheer, which the report describes as "so good it might as well be on another rice pudding planet."

The runner up, according to the report, is Kelsey and Kim's Southern Café in Atlantic City. The small and casual location has all of the soul food favorites, the report said.
