Cannabis Dispensary Adds Recreational Sales In Atlantic County

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ — South Jersey residents will have another place to purchase recreational cannabis on Friday with the expansion of an existing dispensary.

Brute's Roots, located at 6206 Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor Township, has only served medical cannabis users since its opening this past spring.

But the dispensary is expanding to adult use on Sept. 1, they announced.

And to celebrate, Brute's Roots has a day full of grand opening fun planned from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The day kicks off with a ribbon cutting and guests can enjoy live music, a food truck, giveaways and chances to win tickets to the Sept. 11 Phillies vs. Braves game.

The woman-owned business was founded by two South Jersey natives, according to the Brute's Roots website.

They also are cultivating their own cannabis, which will be available for purchase this fall.

Starting Friday, the dispensary will be open seven days a week, with medical sales available from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and recreational sales from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Visit the Brute's Roots website for more information and to see their products.
