Egg Harbor City Man Charged In Crash That Killed Somers Point Motorcyclist

An Egg Harbor City has been charged with vehicular homicide in connection with an October 2020 fatal crash, authorities said Tuesday.

PORT REPUBLIC, NJ — An Egg Harbor City has been charged with vehicular homicide in connection with an October 2020 fatal crash, authorities said Tuesday.

Steven Hanlin was arrested Monday by State Police and detectives of the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, according to Acting Prosecutor Cary Shill.

In the Oct. 3, 2020 crash in Port Republic, Hanlin failed to maintain his lane of travel on Clarks Landing Road and entered into the oncoming lane where he struck a motorcyclist head-on, Shill said.

Anthony Migliaccio, 63, of Somers Point was pronounced dead at the scene, Shill said.

Hanlin will be lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending a detention hearing.
