Egg Harbor Township Man Dies In Motorcycle Crash: Police

A motorcycle passenger died Monday in a crash on Ocean Heights Avenue in Egg Harbor Township, police said.

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ — A motorcycle passenger died Monday in a crash in Egg Harbor Township, police said.

Gary Brenner, 64, of Egg Harbor Township was traveling north on a 2017 Polaris Slingshot on Ocean Heights Avenue near Alder Avenue around 1:53 p.m., according to Egg Harbor Township police.

Adam Brenner, 35, of Egg Harbor Township was riding in the side passenger seat of the motorcycle, police said.

According to a preliminary investigation, Brenner lost control of the motorcycle after driving through an area of standing water.

The motorcycle rotated out of control in the northwest direction, veered into the oncoming lane of travel and struck a utility pole.

Brenner sustained life threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad and the Scullville Fire Department assisted at the scene.
