Galloway Police Offers Free 'Junior Police Academy' In July

Galloway residents between the ages of 12 and 14 can learn all about law enforcement in this three-day camp.

GALLOWAY, NJ — Does your child want to become a law enforcement professional one day? The Galloway Township Police Department is offering a three-day "Junior Police Academy" for youths interested in learning more.

"The goals of the academy will focus on teamwork, leadership, and problem solving abilities between other academy recruits," Galloway police said.

The academy is for Galloway residents who are between the ages of 12 and 14. A referral is also needed. The academy runs from July 26 to 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The academy is free, but there are a limited number of available spots. Openings are first come, first serve.

Applications can be found on the Galloway police website. They must be completed, notarized and dropped off in the police department lobby.
