Galloway Township Police Find Guns and Drugs at Orange Tree Avenue Home

John F. Brown II is arrested on drug and weapons charges.

Galloway Township police allegedly found a stolen handgun, two rifles and 233 grams of marijuana at a home on the 400 block of Orange Tree Avenue in the Pinehurst section of the township.

The discovery was the result of a two-month investigation that led to the June 28 arrest of John F. Brown II, age 30, on charges of unlawful possession of firearms, possession of marijuana, distribution of marijuana and prescription narcotics, and possessing a firearm while committing a narcotics offense, according to a news release from the Galloway Township Police Department.

Det. Bryan Casey led members of the Galloway Township Police Department and the Atlantic County Swat Team in executing a search warrant on the Orange Tree Avenue home. The handgun they found had been previously reported stolen out of Ventnor, police said.
