'Life Before Forsythe' Program to be Offered in Galloway
Talk will focus on the area's history in the 18th and 19th centuries

The history of Jimmie Leeds Road and the area's salt hay industry will be among the topics discussed at a "Life Before Forsythe" presentation planned for July 30.
Sarah Snow of the Galloway Historical Society will give the presentation at the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge headquarters. Speakers will share photographs and stories about the Oceanville and Galloway areas in the 18th and 19th centuries, before the existence of the refuge, including Route 9's "family towns" and local characters such as Robert Scott.
The presentation will begin at 7 p.m., July 30 at 800 Great Creek Road in Galloway.
