Michael Jordan Catches 70-Pound Marlin At NJ Fishing Tournament
NBA champion Michael Jordan reeled in a 70-pound marlin at a fishing tournament in Atlantic City and leads the "catch and release" category.
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — Six-time NBA champion Michael Jordan took his talents out to the Jersey Shore on Wednesday.
Jordan was spotted down the shore earlier this week leaving Steve & Cookie’s By The Bay in Margate on Tuesday night.
He's in the area to compete against more than 600 anglers in Jimmy Johnson’s Quest for the Ring fishing tournament at the Frank S. Farley State Marina at Golden Nugget Atlantic City.

Jordan reeled in a 70-pound white marlin on Wednesday aboard Catch 23, an 80-foot Viking boat.
Catch 23 is currently leading the "catch and release" category in the tournament.

Jordan's catch was previously leading in the white marlin category, but a heavier 73.1-pound marlin caught by Donnie Moore has stolen the lead.
The tournament’s prize purse is worth $1 million and concludes Saturday with an all-day award ceremony and party at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City.
Johnson's tournament, which typically takes place in Hollywood, Florida, made its way up the east coast to Atlantic City this year in partnership with the Atlantic City Sports Commission.
