Monopoly-Inspired Boutique Hotel To Open In Atlantic City
"The Top Hat," a boutique hotel paying homage to Atlantic City's board game legacy, is expected to break ground on construction in 2025.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — Inspired by Atlantic City's iconic board game legacy, a new boutique hotel is coming to the Orange Loop district starting next year.
The Top Hat at The Orange Loop will have a groundbreaking in the first quarter of 2025, according to a news release from RMS Capital. Developers boast that it will be a unique mixed-use development transforming vacant land on Tennessee Avenue into something cutting-edge.
The Monopoly-inspired hotel will feature 1,400 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and a boutique hotel-style short-term rental on the upper level. The Top Hat motif not only pays homage to the board game, but aims to establish the new hotel as a cultural landmark in Atlantic City.

It will have six bedrooms accommodating up to 12 guests, along with a rooftop deck offering sweeping Atlantic City views. Commercial space on the ground floor will promote economic activity in the Orange Loop neighborhood.

The Top Hat is more than a building; it’s a symbol of Atlantic City’s resilience and innovation.”

The Orange Loop, since its inception, has aimed to revitalize Atlantic City with restaurants, nightlife and entertainment venues - attempting to prove that there is more to AC than just casinos.
Developers also say the hotel, beyond attracting new customers, will boost the local economy by drawing foot traffic to the area. This will improve revenue to local businesses and create local job opportunities, according to a news release.

Groundbreaking for The Top Hat at The Orange Loop is anticipated in early 2025, with an expected opening date to follow.
