South Jersey Man, 77, Indicted For Sexual Assault Of Girl, 16
Santos Torres sexually assaulted the girl and infected her with a sexually transmitted disease, prosecutor says

MAYS LANDING, NJ - An Atlantic County jury has indicted a 77-year-old man for sexually assaulting a girl 60 years younger than himself and infecting her with a sexually transmitted disease, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner said.
Santos Torres, Atlantic City, was indicted for second-degree sexual assault, third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, criminal sexual contact and a diseased person committing an action of penetration, Tyner said.
Members of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department arrested Torres on April 24, 2018 for multiple sexual offenses committed against the juvenile victim.

The investigation was led by Detective Daniel Choe and Sgt. Carlton Durham of ACPO’s Special Victim’s Unit. The State is represented by Chief Assistant Prosecutor Danielle S. Buckley.
