GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Class is around the corner. As you prepare for the new school year in the Gloucester Township and/or Black Horse Pike district, there are several key dates to circle on the calendar.
Here are five key dates for each school system.
Gloucester Township Public Schools

- Sept. 6: first day of school
- Sept. 25: admin. closing, no school
- Oct. 9: Columbus Day, schools closed
- Nov. 8: teacher in-svc. day, schools closed
- Nov. 9-10: the New Jersey Education Association's convention. Schools will be closed.
Black Horse Pike Regional School District
- Sept. 6: first day of school, half day for students
- Sept. 25: Yom Kippur, schools closed
- Oct. 9: schools closed
- Nov. 7: teacher/staff development, schools closed for students.
- Nov. 9-10: the New Jersey Education Association's convention. Schools will be closed.
