2 Dead, Several Injured In Camden Apartment Fire
A fire that broke out overnight on Cramer Street killed two people and displaced more than a dozen.
CAMDEN, NJ — Two people were killed and seven others injured, including a firefighter who dislocated his shoulder, during an early Sunday morning apartment fire in Camden. Some residents of the building that burned in the 3000 block of Cramer Street had to jump out of windows to survive, according to an NBC Philadelphia report.
"It's very significant," Camden Fire Department Chief Michael Harper said in the NBC report. "We haven't had anything like this in years."
The identities of the fatal victims were not available as of 11 a.m.

Firefighters responded to the fire around 3 a.m. and saw people running around and jumping from windows, according to the report.
Anywhere from 20-30 residents were displaced. The American Red Cross is helping them find temporary housing.

Six fire departments were called to help the crews from Camden fight the blaze.
The fire department is not expected to determine a cause until Monday.
