'Barbie The Movie: In Concert' Coming To Camden This Summer

They're more than just Ken. An all-women orchestra will bring the sounds of Barbie Land to South Jersey.

CAMDEN, NJ — They're more than just Ken. A live orchestra will bring the sounds of Barbie Land to South Jersey when "Barbie The Movie: In Concert" hits Camden.

The Barbie Land Sinfonietta will tour the nation this summer, performing music from the film's award-winning score. Tickets are now available for the Camden show on July 6 at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion.

Orchestrator and Executive Producer Macy Schmidt will lead an orchestra of all women and mostly women of color. The film will be projected onto a giant LED screen above the Barbie Land Sinfonietta as they perform.

Schmidt, a Tony Award winner, recently became the first woman-of-color orchestrator in Broadway history.

The show will also feature a touring road crew with a veteran, all-women lineup of technical and production professionals.

"Barbie" was 2023's highest-grossing film at $1.47 billion and was nominated for eight Academy Awards. "I'm Just Ken" and "What Was I Made For" were both nominated for Best Original Song.

The soundtrack won a Grammy for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media and also won Top Soundtrack at the Billboard Music Awards.
