Remember Ruben Studdard? 5 Big Names Performing In Camden Co. Parks This Summer

This year's concert lineup features chart-toppers, a Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and an American Idol winner. And it's all free.

CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — Several famous musicians of yesteryear will perform at Camden County's parks this summer, and you can see them for free.

Camden County holds dozens of concerts at its parks every summer. This year's concert schedule was unveiled on Wednesday.

The Camden County Summer Parks Concert Series features something for everyone, but one major theme is nostalgia. That can come in the form of tribute bands and local performers belting out yesterday's hits. But sometimes, you'll get the chart-topping artists themselves — and again, it's free.

Sept. 4, 8 p.m. at Wiggins Park in Camden

Studdard became a household name when he won American Idol's second season in the early 2000s. Although his mainstream stardom didn't last long, he's been plenty busy over the years performing gospel, singing on Broadway, and leaning into his longtime comparisons to R&B legend Luther Vandross.

Studdard will perform his rendition of Luther's hits along the Camden Waterfront.

Joan Osborne

Aug. 13, 7 p.m. at Haddon Lake Park

When was the last time you pondered if God was one of us?

The "One of Us" singer, who received seven Grammy nominations for the hit and its accompanying album, is coming to Haddon Lake Park. The concert will also feature Jackson Pines — a folk rock band from the Jersey Shore.

Todd Rundgren

June 26, 8 p.m. at Cooper River Park

The Philly native who wants to bang the drum all day is one of the most accomplished names in the summer concert series.

The musician and producer has been a pioneer across genres, performing as a soloist and with the bands Nazz and Utopia. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021.

Wheatus

Aug. 27, 8 p.m. at Haddon Lake Park

It's not Iron Maiden, but Camden County has landed a concert for all teenage "dirtbags" at heart. Wheatus is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the alternative rock band's biggest hit, "Teenage Dirtbag."

Tiffany

July 17, 8 p.m. at Cooper River Park

Pop singer Tiffany Darwish had a number of hits in the late 1980s, including No. 1 singles "I Think We're Alone Now" and "Could've Been."

Here's the full schedule and lineup of this year's Camden County Summer Concert Series.
