Cross Keys Rd. Closed, Detoured For Construction

A stretch of the well-traveled roadway will be closed daily, impacting travel in and around Gloucester Township.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Part of Berlin-Cross Keys Road will be closed and detoured as upgrades to the roadway continue.

The work was scheduled to begin Monday and will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily for the next several weeks.

Construction will close Cross Keys Road's southbound lane between New Freedom Road and the railroad tracks in the Albion Section of Pine Hill and Winslow Township, officials said.

The closure will impact traffic traveling from the White Horse Pike area into Gloucester Township, including Camden County Technical School's Gloucester Township campus.

Here's the recommended detour, according to Gloucester Township police: turn right onto New Freedom Road, left onto Berlin Road, left onto West Branch Avenue, cross over onto Kearsley Road, and turn right back onto Cross Keys Road southbound.

Cross Keys Road was fully closed for several months last year as the roadway, which is managed by Camden County, was widened for additional lanes. The road reopened in August.
