Downed Trees, Poles Close Roads In Gloucester Twp.
Powerful winds made their mark, and several roadways remain blocked as of Friday morning.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Several roadways around Gloucester Township remain closed on Friday after an early-morning storm brought powerful winds that took down trees and poles throughout the area.
Here are some of the local road closures as of 9 a.m. Friday:
- Gloucester Township: Several trees came down in the neighborhoods off Somerdale Road, including a large tree blocking the entrance to the Broadmoor development on Roberts Drive, police said. Public Works crews and PSE&G personnel are working to clear the roadways and remove trees that fell into power lines.
- Runnemede: There are downed trees and poles on Schubert Avenue. If you need to access Triton Regional High School's main entrance, use Evesham Road to enter onto Schubert Avenue, police said. If you come from Clements Bridge Road, use the Oak Avenue drop-off, since you won't be able to proceed further than Davis Avenue on Schubert Avenue.
- Magnolia: Evesham Avenue between Atlantic Avenue and Warwick Road is closing for repairs, which were projected to start at 9 a.m.
Luckily for residents, there aren't many power outages in the area. There are 17 outages in Gloucester Township and 12 in Runnemede as of 9 a.m. Friday, according to PSE&G.
