Five Things You Need to Know ... About GT Patch
We want to make sure you're taking advantage of all we have to offer you—and not spoiling it for anyone else.

1. Starting sometime later this week or early next week, GloucesterTownship.Patch.com will begin recording videos of area residents answering questions about pertinent topics of the day.
The newest addition to the Patch lineup of regular content will be called "You Said It!" and it is set to premiere March 28.
We will be seeking answers to the "question of the week" from five people each week. We will then air one person's recorded response to the question each day Monday through Friday, every week.

We're open to suggestions on where we should shoot our videos. Perhaps we can turn it into a promotional event for your business. Send e-mails to me at sean.mccullen@patch.com.
2. Use our events calendar! It's there to help you promote your events.

We can't say it enough. Patch offers you a free place to advertise your yard sale, your youth sports league's sign-up dates, your community group's next meeting, your anniversary, your birthday party ... Whatever you want the world, and, more importantly, your fellow Gloucester Township residents, to know about, Patch is a great place to let them know.
With GT Patch's readership growing each month, your event is going to be seen here.
All you need to do is sign up for Patch to gain access.
3. We only know about what you tell us about. (For the most part. We do our best to find some time to pry and dig.)
While we can't cover it all—sorry!—we certainly can't cover your event if you don't tell us about it. Don't rely on someone else to do it. You do it! We read all of our e-mails. We might not respond to every, single one, but we read them all. We won't get mad if we get two or three from your group.
4. Having trouble remembering to sign up for Patch? Not sure if it would be worth it? Or are you just forgetting to jump on each morning?
It's OK. We forgive you. But since most of us are all already on Facebook or Twitter, we suggest you begin following us there. Maybe you'll like what you see and decide to become a full-fledged Patchhead.
Find us on Facebook at facebook.com/GloucesterPatch and on Twitter at twitter.com/GloucesterPatch.
5. Let's try to keep the comments on here above-board. Please. It's one thing to completely disagree with someone's viewpoint about a given topic, laying out why you feel like you do. It's another to attack the other person's lifestyle or profession or political leaning.
Let's rise above name-calling and pot shots. It's too easy to resort to that, and, quite frankly, it reflects poorly on the community when you do.
If you believe something or someone stinks, say why—don't just say it stinks or they stink.
For the most part, GT Patch has become a place for locals to share ideas and even debate opinions a little bit. Let's keep it growing in that direction.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
