Big Powerball Prize Won In Camden Co. As $1.8B Jackpot Claimed Elsewhere

The jackpot was the 2nd-largest in U.S. history, and somebody who bought a ticket in Camden County came away with a nice consolation prize.

AUDUBON, NJ — As somebody won one of the largest lottery jackpots ever, a ticket purchased in Camden County came away with a substantial consolation prize.

An Arkansas lottery player won the $1.817 billion Powerball jackpot on Christmas Eve — the second-largest lottery prize in U.S. history.

The winning numbers were 04, 25, 31, 52 and 59. The Power Ball was 19, and the multiplier was 02.

Meanwhile, a lottery player from Camden County secured $50,000 in the Double Play drawing — a separate event for players who opt into the Double Play feature.

The lucky ticket matched four white balls and the Double Play ball. It was purchased at Wawa (320 S White Horse Pike, Audubon).

The winning Double Play numbers were 03, 15, 19, 29 and 35. The Double Play ball was 21.

The Powerball jackpot winner can choose between the $1.817 billion prize or a lump sum cash payout $843.9 million. The odds of winning the jackpot were 1 in 292.2 million.

It was the second-largest lottery prize in U.S. history, behind only the $2.04 billion Powerball jackpot claimed in California in November 2022.
