Gloucester Township Citizens Police Academy Returns In 2022
The free 10-week course for residents ages 16-and-up begins Jan. 20, 2022, and runs on Thursday nights.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — After a hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Gloucester Township Citizens Police Academy returns in January, the police department announced Tuesday morning.
The free 10-week course for residents ages 16-and-up begins Jan. 20, 2022, according to the Gloucester Township Police Department. Classes will run on Thursdays, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The course includes an overview of the police department and the administration, police communications, special operations, criminal investigations, traffic safety, K-9, special response team, crime scene unit and much more. Also, all attendees of the GTPD Citizen Police Academy will be trained in the use of CPR for the home.
