Gloucester Township Police Department: GTPD Media Release: GTPD Investigate Pedestrian Motor Vehicle Crash Involving Serious Bodily Injuries

On Friday, March 11, 2022 at approximately 7:10PM officers from the Gloucester Township Police Department were dispatched to the area of Erial Road and Garwood Road for a pedestrian motor vehicle crash.

Upon officers’ arrival, the pedestrian was located in the middle of the roadway suffering from serious bodily injuries. The striking vehicle and driver remained on location. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. The pedestrian was evaluated and transported to Cooper Hospital, Trauma Unit, in Camden, NJ by Inspira Ambulance.

Erial Road between Garwood Road and Hickstown Road was closed for several hours during the initial stages of the investigation. The investigation is being conducted by the Gloucester Township Police Serious Crash Investigation Team (SCIT). Gloucester Twp. Fire Departments assisted at the crash scene. At this time the names of all involved are being withheld pending notifications and further investigation.
