Gloucester Township Police Seek Truck That Fled Traffic Stop

Gloucester Township police are searching for a driver that fled a traffic stop on Lower Landing Road over the weekend.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Gloucester Township police are searching for a driver who fled a traffic stop on Lower Landing Road over the weekend.

A Gloucester Township police officer saw a silver Chevy Silverado pickup truck leave Lakeview Apartments and turn onto Lower Landing Road at about 2:52 a.m. Saturday morning.

The truck’s rear license plate was covered by black cardboard, so the officer attempted to pull the truck over, police said.

The officer pulled the truck over on Lower Landing Road, but the truck sped off when the officer got out of his car, police said. The truck sped off into a nearby neighborhood, and the officer didn’t pursue, police said.

After reviewing body camera and dash camera video, the 1999 to 2002 silver Chevy Silverado appears to be the 2500 or 2500HD model with wheel flares, black wheels, black rear bumper, extended cab, and the model year with amber rear turn signals, police said.

There appears to be a white sticker in the center of the rear window. The driver was possibly a white man with short blonde hair, and possibly in his thirties.
