Gloucester Township Resident Displaced By House Fire: Police

A Gloucester Township resident has been displaced after a fire broke out at their home Friday morning, according to police.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Gloucester Township resident has been displaced after a fire broke out at their home Friday morning, according to police.

The house fire on the 800 block of Huntington Avenue in the Glendora section of the township, was reported at 7:51 a.m. Friday, Gloucester Township police said.

By the time police arrived, the homeowner had safely made it out of the house. Heavy smoke was coming from the roof of the single-family home, police said.

Firefighters from Glendora, Runnemede, Chews Landing, Bellmawr, Magnolia and Somerdale arrived and extinguished the fire, which police said doesn’t appear to be suspicious.

No one was injured in the blaze, police said. The homeowner will be displaced until smoke and water damage can be remediated.
