Gloucester Twp. Police to Host First Junior Police Academy

Two sessions will be offered this summer for kids in different age groups.

Gloucester Township Police Department will host its first Junior Police Academy this summer.

There will be two sessions—the first for kids ages 10-12, the second for kids ages 13-15. The cost is $125 per child.

The police department wants to continue to build its partnership with township youth, and is hopeful the Junior Police Academy sessions will help achieve that goal.

Is your child interested in a career in law enforcement? Then this may be the perfect way to get them off the Xbox and keep them busy a few days this summer.

The junior cadets will partake in physical fitness daily, learn about the police department, participate in K-9 and Special Response Team demonstrations, discuss drug prevention and crime-scene investigations with trained officers, and much more.
