CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — A Camden County man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for unlawfully possessing a firearm and ammunition, Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig announced.
Marshall Onuorah, 32, of Camden, was previously convicted of one count of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a previously convicted felon. He was also sentenced to three years supervised release, authorities said.
The jury deliberated two hours before returning the guilty verdict following a four-day trial before U.S. District Judge Noel L. Hillman in Camden federal court in June, according to authorities.

On Jan. 29, 2020, Camden County police officers patrolling in their marked patrol car saw Onuorah, a previously convicted felon, appear to use his hands to conceal an object from the officers’ view, according to documents filed in the case and evidence presented during the trial.
When one of the officers got out of the car to approach Onuorah, he ran off, according to authorities. The officers chased him for several blocks before Onuorah surrendered, authorities said.
