NJ Man Pulls Gun In Gym Parking Spot Dispute, Police Say
Washington Township police said the man also pulled out a gun during the incident.

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A man is facing charges after authorities said he pulled a gun on a woman during a dispute over a parking spot at a Washington Township fitness center.
Jacob Vanaman, 26, of Bridgeton, turned himself in following the Aug. 1 incident at L.A. Fitness. Authorities charged him with second-degree aggravated assault with a weapon, making terroristic threats and two counts of possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes.
According to Washington Township police, an off-duty New Jersey state trooper witnessed the dispute from inside the gym.

Shortly after 8 p.m., the trooper reported seeing a man and woman arguing near parked cars. According to police, the trooper called 911 after he saw the man pull a gun from his waistband.
When police arrived, both the man and woman had left the gym. The next day, police said the woman contacted authorities to report the incident.

Detectives later reviewed surveillance footage from the area and were able to identify Vanaman as the suspect, police said.
Vanaman was taken to Gloucester County Jail. Police are asking anyone with additional information about the incident to contact Detective Aquilino at 856-589-0330.
