Man Sentenced For Gloucester Twp., Collingswood Bank Robberies

A Camden man has been sentenced to 16 years, eight months in prison after he was previously convicted of robbing a pair of banks in Gloucester Township and Collingswood over a 10-day period in 2018, Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig announced.

Anthony L. Livingston, 50, was convicted in May 2019 of two counts of bank robbery, and one count of attempted bank robbery following a one-week trial before U.S. District Judge Renee Marie Bumb in Camden federal court. The jury deliberated for less than three hours before returning the guilty verdicts. The sentence was handed down on Tuesday. Livingston was also sentenced to three years of supervised release.

He robbed the PNC Bank at 1485 Blackwood-Clementon Road in Gloucester Township on July 14, 2018, according to authorities. Police said he entered the bank at about noon that day and passed a demand note to the teller.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the scene in an unknown direction. No weapon was displayed and no one was injured.

He was charged with the bank robbery in Gloucester Township shortly after he was arrested in connection with the July 24, 2018, robbery of the Ocean First Bank on Haddon Avenue in Collingswood.

Authorities said he was the getaway driver for 33-year-old Laque Hunter, also of Camden, in that case. Authorities said Hunter walked into the bank, formerly known as Sun-Trust Bank on Haddon Avenue in Collingswood at about 2:48 p.m. and passed a demand note to a teller.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, Hunter ran out of the bank and got into a car being driven by Livingston, police said. No one was injured in the incident.

Livingston was arrested during a traffic stop by the Collingswood Police Department near Louis and Morton streets the same day.

After police released surveillance photos from the scene, they received tips from members of the community. Based on those tips, Hunter was arrested near Broadway and Federal streets two days after the robbery, police said.

Hunter pleaded guilty on April 2, 2019, and awaits sentencing, authorities said.

At the time of these crimes, Livingston was on federal supervised release, according to authorities. On July 13, 2018, one day before the first bank robbery, Livingston completed a 220-month term of imprisonment for having robbed eight banks in South Jersey in 2000 and 2001.
