Man Struck By NJ Transit Light Rail Train In Burlington County

River Line service was suspended in both directions, but has since resumed, officials said.

BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — A man was hospitalized on Thursday night after he was struck by a NJ Transit light rail train in Burlington County, officials said.

According to a NJ Transit spokesperson, the man was trespassing on the tracks at the Pavilion Avenue crossing in Riverside when he was struck.

He was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries, officials said. Authorities have not yet released his name.

There were no reported injuries to the 35 passengers and the operator on board the train.

River Line service was suspended in both directions between Cinnaminson and Delanco Stations, but has since resumed, officials said.
