Nine candidates will run for three open seats on Gloucester Township Council in this fall's elections.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Nine candidates will run for three open seats on Gloucester Township Council in this fall's general elections. Three Democrats, three Republicans and three candidates running under the Restore GT slogan have filed to run for the open seats.
Patch asked each candidate to complete a questionnaire outlining biographical information, their platform and their stands on a handful of issues. Patch will run profiles using these responses in the months leading up to Election Day.

Ms. Grace has been a resident of Gloucester Township since 1987. She moved to the area with the goals of raising her three daughters in a community that embodied her own values: family, love for your neighbor, importance of education, hard work, and being of service to others.

Education
Ms. Grace earned her Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University and a Master’s in School Leadership from Wilmington University. She holds valid certifications as a School Social Worker, Teacher of Psychology, and School Principal.
Occupation
Ms. Grace has spent most of her career as a member of the Child Study Team and a school administration in local school districts.
Previous or Current Elected or Appointed Office
In 2018, Ms. Grace was elected and served as a member of the Gloucester Township School Board. She was appointed to Gloucester Township Council in October 2020.

Why are you seeking elective office?
On their campaign website, Team Mayer says, “We are here to create more jobs, invest in our youth, and keep our community safe. We have the experience to continue to move Gloucester Township in the right direction and get things done.”
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
On their campaign website, Team Mayer says, “Our robust and flourishing economic development program has put Gloucester Township on the map with hundreds of projects and opportunities that attract local and national businesses, creating thousands of jobs.”
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
In 2016, Ms. Grace co-founded The Brittany Woods Community Action Group (BWCAG), which collaborates with multiple departments in Gloucester Township government to complete community enhancement projects – all for the betterment of the community. Ms. Grace has been honored with various community and governmental service awards. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and wholeheartedly believes, “‘A Vision for Change’ requires community service, political activism, a voice for the underserved, and grassroots ACTION!”
