Teen Killed, 1 Hospitalized After South Jersey Shooting: Prosecutor
A Bridgeton man has been charged in connection with a shooting that killed a 17-year-old boy and hospitalized another teen, authorities said
BRIDGETON, NJ - A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection with a shooting that killed a 17-year-old boy and left a 17-year-old girl hospitalized, authorities said.
Iban Perez, 21, of Bridgeton, was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit murder, one count of conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and one count of conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said in a statement Sunday.
At around 12:37 a.m. on Sunday morning, Bridgeton police responded to the 300 block of North Pearl Street for a report of shots fired, Webb-McRae said. At the scene, officers located the teen male suffering from gunshot wounds, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The 17-year-old female victim was observed with a gunshot wound and was subsequently transported to Cooper Hospital, where she is reported to be in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing and investigators are currently pursuing “several leads,” Webb-McRae said.
