CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — Voting machine cartridges failed to print in 30 Camden County voting districts Tuesday night, so results on those machines will have to be counted manually, according to a county spokesman.

It wasn’t clear where those machines failed, but the results were expected to be updated by the end of the day Wednesday, a county spokesman told Patch Wednesday morning.

The county board of elections also continued on Wednesday to count vote-by-mail ballots that came in last night, and that will come in over the next five days, provided they were postmarked by Nov. 2.

Provisional ballots must also still be counted. It was unclear how many ballots were still outstanding in Camden County. Officials said they expect to meet the official certification deadline of Nov. 15, and be able to present results to the state by Nov. 20.
