Police Investigate Store Robbery

Police received a report of a robbery at a Glendora convenience store early this morning.

A man acting alone reportedly robbed the 7-Eleven on West Evesham Road in the township's Glendora section early this morning.

Police were dispatched to the convenience store at 940 W. Evesham Rd. at 2:05 a.m. on a report of an armed robbery, according to Gloucester Township Police Lt. Edward Bryant.

A store clerk told police a white male approached the counter wielding a 2-foot pipe and demanded money from the cash register.

The clerk complied with the demand. The robber then reportedly fled the store on foot with an unspecified amount of cash.

Police described the suspect as a white male in his late 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. The suspect was wearing a black knit hat, a black, hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans.

The case is being investigated by Det. Ron Middleton and Ptl. Mike Trabosh.
