With summer just around the corner, you may be looking for a place around Gloucester Township to take a swim. We've got you covered.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Summer is just around the corner, and you may be planning now to find activities to keep the kids busy — and cool. An obvious summer favorite pastime is spending those hot afternoons at the local pool.
The state recently issued guidance for pools to follow, so they can safely operate during the coronavirus pandemic.That guidance can be found on the New Jersey Department of Health’s website.

Gloucester Township Municipal Pool, 59 Monroe Drive in the Blackwood section of the township:
Gloucester Township anticipates the municipal pool will open on May 29 under current safety guidelines. Initially, the club will only be open on weekends. It will open full-time on June 19.

The Recreation Center will offer memberships to current township residents who were 2019 members first, then to current township residents. A limited number of memberships will be offered so ensure you get your registrations in early once they are available.
Registration will be available to 2019 members beginning on April 26. All 2019 members will be contacted by the Recreation Department to register. All available memberships will be open to new members beginning May 10 via both online and in-person registration.
Swim Lessons will be offered to members only on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Guest passes will be available for members only. No pool rentals for 2021.
Valleybrook Swim Club, 1 Fairway Drive in the Blackwood section of the township: Valleybrook Swim Club is a private facility for residents of the Valleybrook community located in Blackwood, Gloucester Township, NJ. The property also includes basketball and tennis courts.
Stratford Swim Club, 2 Vassar Avenue, Stratford: Amenities include: competition-size pool with diving dell and two diving boards; midsize pool (1.5-3 feet deep); baby pool; basketball courts; volleyball courts; gaga pit; ping pong table; horse shoe pits; screened-in patio; snack stand; grills; shaded areas; social activities for adults and children; men's and women's bathrooms with showers, dressing rooms, and baby changing station; and free wi-fi access.
Whitman Swim Club, 156 Whitman Drive in Washington Township: Amenities include three pools, volleyball, tennis, and basketball courts, sand play area, snack bar, and so much more.
NL Aquatic Center, 333 Preston Avenue in Voorhees: The NL Aquatic Center is home to the SJAC swim teams, swim school, Swim Smart, aquatic therapy and more.
Barclay Farm Swim Club, 315 Whitemarsh Way in Cherry Hill: Founded in 1958, Barclay Farm Swim Club was the first neighborhood pool in the Barclay Farm community, according to its website. Its focal point is the area’s only 3-meter diving board—a favorite of diving teams, all the kids, and some daring adults. BFSC is now open for 2021 registration. Member registration can be done here.
