Relay for Life Tally Pushing $70,000
The Gloucester Township Relay for Life event was held June 9-10.
The 2012 Gloucester Township Relay for Life event has brought in nearly $70,000, and organizers expect that number to continue to climb over the next two months.
"We're sitting right now at over $67,000 that we've raised, and we expect that number to increase by at least another $10,000 by the end of August," Councilwoman Tracy Trotto said at Monday's Township Council meeting.
Trotto thanked township employees and community members for supporting the local fundraiser during Monday's meeting—her first public-action meeting since Relay for Life.
