GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Route 42 ramp in Gloucester Township will remain closed for about a month.

The Route 42 northbound ramp from Lakeview Drive closed Monday morning for work to stabilize an embankment, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT).

The following detour is in place:

  • Drivers on Lakeview Drive wishing to take the ramp onto Route 42 northbound will be directed to Lower Landing Road, which becomes Good Intent Road.
  • Turn right to stay on Good Intent Road.
  • Turn right onto Route 41/Hurffville Road northbound.
  • Take the ramp to Route 42 northbound.

Route 42 is a state roadway. The work is part of a $7.1 million project to improve drainage facilities throughout South Jersey.
