3 Cars Crash, 5 Injured On Highway In Camden Co.: Police

The crash investigation shut down the White Horse Pike.

BERLIN, NJ — Five people were injured in a three-vehicle crash that shut down the White Horse Pike on Wednesday morning, police said.

It happened around 7:15 a.m. on the White Horse Pike — also known as Route 30 — in Berlin, between Franklin and Malan Avenues. The vehicles were heavily damaged and blocked both sides of the highway.

Four people sustained "potentially serious" injuries, while another had an "unknown and possible injury," according to Berlin police. They were driven to different hospitals for follow-up evaluations.

The White Horse Pike was shut down in both directions and reopened later in the morning.

It wasn't immediately clear what caused the collision. The Camden County Prosecutor's Office Serious Crash Investigation Team is investigating the incident with the Berlin Police Department.
