Police from Glassboro and surrounding communities were dispersing the crowd shortly after midnight June 30 when the shooting occurred, authorities said.
Surveillance footage and officers' body cameras showed four people, including the victim, walking past two other people who were with Moore, authorities said. Moore stood in the open front-passenger doorway of a vehicle when both groups got into an argument in front of 220 Rowan Blvd., according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.
As the incident escalated into a fight, Moore raised his arm, pointed a handgun toward the victim and fired one round, authorities said. Moore then placed the gun on the ground and ran off, according to law enforcement.
While dispersing crowds, officers noticed the parked vehicle and a 9mm semi-automatic handgun without a serial number between the curb and the vehicle's open door. They also found a discharged 9mm shell casing in the street.
Police executed a search warrant on the vehicle and found a wallet on the front-passenger seat. It contained several items with Moore's name, authorities said.
Moore was charged by complaint July 2 with first-degree attempted murder, second-degree aggravated assault, and several weapons offenses ranging from the second-to-fourth degrees.
He has since been placed in the Salem County Correctional Facility, which provides jailing services for Gloucester County.
Online court records didn't list an attorney for Moore on Monday.
