Spending Increase Part Of Black Horse Pike Regional Schools OK'd 2022-23 Budget
The approved $90,277,250 spending plan included allocations for several building improvements and renovations, school budget documents show.
RUNNEMEDE, NJ — The Black Horse Pike Regional School District's budget for 2022-23 totals $90,277,250, up about 2.75% from the approximately $84,915,837 the district spending plan contained in 2021-22, a review of the budget documents shows.
A good part of the 2022-23 school district budget provides for building improvements and renovations, School District Business Administrator Frank Rizzo said.
Some specific enhancements include Triton High School's stadium and science room being renovated, its tennis court being coated; Highland High School's electrical generator upgraded, its tennis court coated and the main gym being improved; and Timber Creek High School's roof being partially coated, its fire alarm system upgraded, its athletic stadium having a new scoreboard and a wrestling wall rack installed, floors replaced and concrete repaired, according o Rizzo.

The school district budget for 2022-23 also enhances "our Cares Program at [Camden County College] and introduces new ones like our African American Studies Course," he continued.
With the new school district budget, homeowners in Gloucester Township whose home assessed value is $188,000 can expect to pay approximately $8.05 more in annual taxes; homeowners in Bellmawr whose home is assessed at $167,000 can expect to pay $38.07 more in taxes annually and homeowners in Runnemede whose home is assessed at $148,260 can expect to pay approximately $134.35 more annual taxes, Rizzo said.

"It should be noted that the tax impact above is a result of the new budget and a reallocation of the taxes by municipality as per the State Regional Allocation," he added.
