GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A summer of performances by the Gloucester Township-based Mainstage Center for the Arts gets underway this week.

First up is Freaky Friday, which streams at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, according to the theater group’s website. It is a one-act edition based on the Disney Channel original movie.

“When an uber-organized mother and her spontaneous teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right,” the description on the website reads. “Freaky Friday is based on the beloved novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney Channel movies.”

“Broadway for Kids” streams online at 7 p.m. on Aug. 8 and 9. This musical revue features songs from Broadway Shows that have entertained generations of family audiences, according to the website. Tickets for this show can be purchased online here.

Finally, a 60-minute adaptation of “Moana” will stream online at 7 p.m. on Aug. 12 and 13. “Disney’s Moana, Jr.” features all the beloved songs from the film, written by Tony, GRAMMY, Emmy, and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina.
