Teens Brought Gun To NJ High School: Police
Two teenagers have been charged after bringing a gun to a South Jersey high school, authorities announced.
LINDENWOLD, NJ — Two teenagers have been charged after bringing a gun to a South Jersey high school, authorities announced.
Two Lindenwold High School students, both 17-year-old boys, posted pictures of themselves with a gun on social media on Friday, according to authorities.
Police were notified of the images on Monday, and placed the school on lockdown, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Lindenwold Police Chief Michael McCarthy, Jr.

Police responded to the school, and found one of the students in possession of the gun, according to authorities.
Both teens were charged with second-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes (firearm) and second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon (handgun).

One teen was charged with second-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes (firearm), second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon (handgun), and third-degree unlawful possession of weapon (firearm in educational institution) after bringing the gun to school.
Both teens have been detained in the Camden County Juvenile Detention Facility pending an initial detention hearing before the Camden County Superior Court – Juvenile Division.
