CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — Here's a list of upcoming events in Camden County, courtesy of our friends at Visit South Jersey, the official Destination Marketing Organization for Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem counties, and the Outer Coast Plain Wine Region in South Jersey.

Winterfest Ice Skating returns to Cooper River Park near the corner of Cuthbert Boulevard and Park Avenue in Cherry Hill from Nov. 26 through Feb. 21. Hours of Operation:

  • Thursdays: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Fridays: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Saturdays: Noon to 10 p.m.
  • Sundays: Noon to 9 p.m.

Downtown Haddonfield hosts its Candlelight Shopping event every Friday night through Christmas Eve, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Knock those gifts off your holiday list by shopping small on Haddonfield's main strip and side streets! Join Villari’s Lakeside for their market to get all your last minute shopping done, have breakfast with Santa, and snag a picture with your pet and Santa. Santa will be having breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. then he will join everyone outside at the market to take pictures (for free!). They will also be collecting donations for Matchdog Rescue. Rutgers University hosts "Holiday Tales: A Season of Miracles," a virtual collection of holiday stories from different cultures through Dec. 17, at various times. Scenes within the play include O.Henry's "Gift of the Magi," E.T.A. Hoffmann's "The Nutcracker," "The Kwanzaa Kite," an original tale by Ruth Fost, set in Nigeria; and a Chelm story, "The Chanukah Miracle." Crafted and set to music by Tony Award-Winner Larry Hochman, with the timeless tone of each classic piece, this magical presentation is designed to warm the hearts and perhaps change the perspective of young audiences as they think about the true meaning and spirit of the holiday season. Battleship New Jersey's Holiday Train Display returns from Dec. 11-26. This display, courtesy of the South Jersey Garden Railroad Society (SJGRS), will be free to experience with a tour of the Battleship. Christmas Underwater returns to Adventure Aquarium in Camden for its 13th season. Marvel at the World's Tallest Underwater Christmas Tree, experience holiday décor throughout the entire Aquarium, enjoy lively interactive shows and come face-to-face with Scuba Santa as he dives with sharks, sea turtles, stingrays and more fishy friends. The Perkins Center for the Arts in Collingswood presents the Antonio Puri Inner Circle Solo Exhibit, Nov. 20 through Dec.31. An artist reception takes place Dec. 12 at the center, 30 Irvin Avenue in Collingswood. Puri was born in north India and educated in the U.S. He's based in the Philadelphia region and has exhibited in solo exhibitions all over the world. Diggerland in Berlin will host its Winterfest from Nov. 13 through Dec. 28.
