These 8 Events Are Coming Up In Camden County

CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — Here's a list of upcoming events in Camden County, courtesy of our friends at Visit South Jersey, the official Destination Marketing Organization for Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem counties, and the Outer Coast Plain Wine Region in South Jersey.

The Battleship New Jersey in Camden will celebrate World War II Victory Day on Aug. 14, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check out WWII artifacts and re-enactors along the ship’s tour route. They’ll even defend the Battleship from an attack of a Japanese torpedo plane. There’ll also be 1940s music over the pier’s PA. WWII activities on Saturday, August 14 can be experienced with the purchase of a tour of the Battleship. Enjoy live music and art during Second Saturday in Collingswood, which was started by a collection of store owners that had an interest in promoting the arts in Collingswood. Second Saturday will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Aug. 14 in Downtown Collingswood. Each month from March to December, visitors can plan a night on the town to experience the unique arts, music, shopping and dining Collingswood is known for. As always, Second Saturdays are free and there are local artists and musicians on each block. Just arrive and enjoy the culture. Join the Cherry Hill Public Librarians each week for a special story time at Croft Farm. Pop-Up Story Time in the Park is 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. It's Shark Summer at Adventure Aquarium in Camden now through Sept. 6. The aquarium is home to the largest collection of sharks in the Northeast and the longest Shark Bridge in the world. Visitors will be surrounded by sharks inside Shark Tunnel. Look out for new friends like Pacific blacktip reef sharks, and familiar favorites — their Shark & Ray Encounters and Live Dive Shows are coming back.
