Vineland Woman Dies In 3-Vehicle Crash, Police Say

A Vineland woman was killed Thursday in a three-vehicle crash in South Jersey that also injured two adults and a child, authorities said.

VINELAND, NJ - A Vineland woman was killed Thursday in a three-vehicle crash in South Jersey that also injured two adults and a child, authorities said.

The crash was reported around 5:45 p.m. near Millville and Pittsburgh Avenues, Hamilton police said in a statement.

An initial investigation revealed that a 2007 Hyundai Tucson operated by Kerry Forest, 34, of Vineland was traveling eastbound on Millville Avenue approaching the S curve just West of Pittsburgh Avenue when the vehicle struck the eastbound guardrail, causing it to cross the center line and strike a 2014 Honda CRV being operated by Kelly Connor, 50, also of Vineland.

The crash continued into a 2021 Jeep Gladiator operated by Todd Ruymen, 44, of Vineland.

Forest died due to injuries sustained in the crash.

Connor and Ruymen were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A five-year-old passenger was flown to Cooper Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is in stable condition, police said.

Traffic was diverted for roughly four hours. The Mays Landing Fire Department, Laureldale Fire Department, Richland Fire Department, Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad, Dorothy Rescue Squad, Buena Vista Rescue Squad, AtlantiCare EMS, AtlantiCare Paramedics, South Star, New Jersey State Police, and the State of New Jersey Regional Medical Examiner’s Office assisted at the scene.

The crash is under investigation by the Hamilton Police Department.
