Woman, 87, Killed In Chain-Reaction Crash In South Jersey: Police
No criminal charges were filed as of Tuesday morning, but the crash remains under investigation.
VINELAND, NJ — An elderly woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Cumberland County, authorities said.
Police identified Ramona Sansalone, 87, of Minotola, as the woman who died in the crash, which unfolded around 2:15 p.m. in Vineland. She succumbed to her injuries after she was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital.
The crash happened on North Lincoln Avenue near Lincoln Drive, police said.

Sansalone was driving southbound on North Lincoln Avenue. Meanwhile, a pickup truck carrying an 18-foot trailer was making a left turn into a driveway, police said.
Sansalone struck the rear of the trailer, police said. The impact sent her car into the northbound lane, where she struck an SUV head-on, authorities said.

The SUV driver was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The pickup truck driver reported feeling pain at the scene but refused medical treatment.
