Woman Succumbs To Injuries From Gloucester Twp. Apartment Building Fire
The fire was deemed non-suspicious but remains under investigation, police said.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A victim who was hospitalized after Saturday's apartment building fire in Gloucester Township has succumbed to her injuries, police said Tuesday.
The victim had been airlifted after sustaining critical injuries in the three-alarm fire that broke out early Saturday at the Autumn Ridge Apartments. She died several days later at the hospital.
Police withheld her identity, pending notification of next of kin and the ongoing investigation.

Five others were injured, included a firefighter who sustained minor burns. They are all listed in stable condition as of Tuesday.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but it's currently considered non-suspicious, police said.

The blaze emerged around 2:15 a.m. Saturday in Autumn Ridge's "C" building. Officers and firefighters evacuated the building and placed the fire under control around 6:20 a.m.
More than 100 residents from 42 apartments have been displaced, and the entire building has been deemed uninhabitable.
Gloucester Township Police shared the following message:
"This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of home fire safety. Residents are urged to test smoke detectors regularly and use caution with candles, stoves, and space heaters as never leaving them unattended and keeping flammable materials away from heat sources. Simple precautions like these can prevent fires and save lives."
