Beards In Blue Fundraiser Back In Hackettstown

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - Members of the Hackettstown Police Department will be looking a little hairier than normal as they participate in a Beards in Blue fundraiser throughout the month of November.

Officers will be putting down their razors and growing their facial hair to support
The Joan Knechel Cancer Center at Hackettstown Medical Center.

The anti-shave campaign is meant to raise cancer awareness and encourage people to live healthy and get their regular medical checkups to detect issues that could lead to cancer. Hackettstown officers and members of Hackettstown-Mansfield PBA Local 369 will be donating money to participate but are asking for the public's help.

"Cancer research and treatments are very costly, and we want to lend as much help as possible to those who are fighting for a cure," police said. "We are asking you to donate today and help us help others."
