College Party Ends With Stitches, Bottle Used as Weapon, Cops Say
Tenants of Hackettstown who were hosting gathering were warned last month for violating nuisance ordinance, police report.

A gathering of college-aged coeds ended when a female needed medical attention after being struck in the head by a glass bottle, Hackettstown Police said.
On Saturday, Sept. 12 at 11:56 p.m., police responded to a residence on the 100 block of Grand Avenue for a report of a female with a laceration to the head, Sgt. Darren Tynan said.
When police arrived they observed several “college age individuals” leave the residence. An investigation revealed Megan Reed, 18, of Newton, allegedly struck the victim in the head with a beer bottle, which caused a deep laceration, requiring internal and external stitches, Tynan said.
